Amsterdam Neighborhood Housing Projects Advance with 2026 Deliveries

Haven-Stad Delivery Schedule

Haven-Stad is Amsterdam's largest upcoming development location with plans for 70,000 homes by 2040. A substantial portion of these homes is scheduled for delivery in 2026 as part of the focus on Amsterdam Noord, Zuidoost and Haven-Stad.

De Nieuwe Kern and Kenniskwartier Plans

De Nieuwe Kern, a new neighborhood between Amsterdam and Zuidoost, will house 6,200 homes with 30 percent social, 40 percent mid-market rental and 30 percent owner-occupied. First homes are expected in 2028. The Kenniskwartier neighborhood in the Zuidas district will contain approximately 2,700 homes total, including a new horseshoe-shaped development around Margaret Bondshof with around 500 mixed-tenure homes and offices.

Houthaven and Zuidas Completion Timelines

Houthaven, a former timber port transformed into a sustainable neighborhood with 2,700+ housing units, had two-thirds of its buildings constructed by mid-2024 and was set for completion in 2025. A 65-meter high-rise in the Zuidas area is slated for completion in 2026.
